Wind Gap Festival Picked for Silver ADDY® at Pittsburgh Awards Show
A collaborative effort between Vinciguerra Creative and The Verb Agency secured a Silver ADDY® for their work on the 42nd Annual Bluegrass Festival’s promotional campaign. The design featured a variety of engaging elements, including a festive frog upon a mushroom pickin’ a banjo. Promotional items included a glow-in-the-dark t-shirt as the official festival shirt, stickers, a “banjo froggie” coloring page for kids, and other merch. These creative promotional items effectively captured the festival’s lively spirit and enhanced the attendee experience.
The Pittsburgh Addy Awards were held on May 2, 2024 at the elegant Power Center at Duquesne University, that celebrated a century of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Pittsburgh Chapter’s dedication to recognizing excellence in advertising. Judges praised the creativity and execution of all entries, with a particular emphasis on those that took home ADDY awards.
The Wind Gap Bluegrass Festival is held annually in the small town of Wind Gap, nestled in the southeastern frontier of Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountain Range. This area is renowned for its outdoor activities and serene natural beauty, providing a perfect setting for the festival. Each June, the town comes alive with the sounds of bluegrass music, the warmth of campfire stories, and the aromas of delicious back-country recipes prepared by “Deep Woods Chefs.”
Mountain View Park, the festival’s venue, offers free camping with a weekend ticket, including an overnight stay on Sunday. In addition to T-shirts selling out — so did their passes sold out weeks in advance! For more information on the Wind Gap Bluegrass Festival visit the festival’s official website or follow their social media channels.
What are the American Advertising Awards?
The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local AAF Club competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.
Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local phase, the Pittsburgh American Advertising Awards, is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie to #winanaddy – recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local winners compete against winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national stage of the American Advertising Awards.
Entering the American Advertising Awards supports the entire advertising industry because the AAF and its local and district affiliates use the proceeds to enhance advertising through programs such as public service, internships, advocacy groups, advertising education, and consumer awareness.
