Painted Peach Wins Peoples Choice!
UPDATE: Winner Peoples Choice Peach!
Proud to Paint a 4′ Peach for a Good Cause with AAF NEPA.
Members of the American Advertising Federation Northeast Pennsylvania, myself included along with peers Desiree Zielinski and Christine Medley, came together to paint a 4′ x 4′ wooden Peach for promotion of the 3rd Annual Peach Music Festival presented by the Allman Brothers Band that will be held on August 14-17, 2014 at Montage Mountain Pavillion. Proceeds raised from Paint a Peach will go directly to benefit Marley’s Mission, a non-profit organization that provides equine-based therapy free of charge to children, and their families, who have experienced trauma.
The club’s inspiration for their peach sprung from Milton Glaser’s 1966 poster representing rock icon Bob Dylan and the flower-power era. From that inspiration, members of the club formed a silhouette of a horse to represent Marley’s Mission and had fun with the remaining painted lettering that that had to be incorporated on the peach: “Peach Music Festival 2014” and “Montage Mountain”.
Our finished peach will be on display in the window of The Workshop letterpress studio located on Adams Avenue in downtown Scranton until the 3rd Annual Peach Music Festival at the Montage Mountain Pavilion.
