“This is not a Painting Class. It’s a Party.”

“This is not a Painting Class. It’s a Party.”, said party host and painter extraordinaire, Phil, as he directed us to pick up ‘Big Phil’ the largest of his named paintbrushes, ‘Teenage Phil’, and ‘Little Phil’. I haven’t picked up a ‘Big Phil’ or any paint brush for that matter in many years, so party or not, I was excited to get painting.

Painting was the core of my existence until someone introduced me to a Mac loaded with Adobe products. What!? You don’t have to clean your brushes, I thought. There’s a command option that erases mistakes and all the colors are mixed already? Sold! Seeming to good to be true, the latter has become my calling and sent my fine art and painting foundation back to the history books.

This was a great mixer to pull some of that back our of me and inspire some painting side-projects and find ways to consider re-incorporate that into some client work.
